With everyone in the crew working their tails off getting through the storm, the little redhead remained up on the yards of the mast. Sorcha's small stature allowed her to easily traverse the narrow beams that held up the sails, and she absolutely loved being up so high, it was like she was on top of the world. Even when she was working the sails and riggings, the gunner couldn't help the glorious feeling. Now, with the storm swirling all around and rain soaking her to the bone, Sorcha still had a grin plastered on her face. With a simple yell from any of her crewmates she could adjust the sails in mere minutes with little issue. In the hours that they had been sailing before the storm hit the woman had taken the time to get to know the sail riggings, masts, and yards on the ship so there would be little to no problems on their immediate journey. Plus it had been some time since she had been on a vessel larger than her small skiff. The giant, Hullgrimm if she remembered correctly, was paddling the boat forward, steering it as best he could with the storm. "Tanis! Captain! Lemme know if we need more speed! Rocket! I'm paddling blind here with the sails open! Lemme know left or right!" the man's yelling did not go unheard by Sorcha as she maneuvered high up in the air even above Hull's head. "Oi Hull! If you need the sail moved so you can see just give the word! I can adjust it for you no problem!" the redhead shouted back to the giant after he spoke. The sails were her domain after all. "If the weather gets to rough... I might need to use my winds to combat the brunt of the force... However... If my speeds aren't fast enough, I could rip this ship apart.... 40% chance..." the gunner hadn't even seen Oz as he made his way to the look out position on the main mast. She hadn't really paid any mind as the Captain had interrogated their hostages since she was keeping her focus on the sails, but by the four blues she thought she would have noticed him moving to the look out above her! "OI! HULL! You wouldn't mind going for a ride would you?" "I would much rather stay in the boat, if it is all the same...but, if you think it is needed and it will help... I guess I can..." Sorcha couldn't help but cast a blank look between Oz's grinning face and Hull's sheepish reply. What in the blues was the captain planning to do? "...What do you need of the sail's for this crazy idea of yours Captain?" after a moment of pause the gunner had a crazy grin of her own plastered on her face. Whatever it was that Oz was planning, she was more than ready for a fun challenge. | wc:: 494 | | I HAVE MY MOTHER'S DREAMS, MY FATHER'S EYES, YOU CAN'T TAKE THAT FROM ME, DON'T EVEN TRY. | |

The little redhead never would have thought that her trip to Karate Island with Tanis would have turned out this way, but there was no complaining coming from her mouth. Sorcha did have to admit that meeting Oz for the first time was quite interesting, but she took a liking to the Captain and soon found herself calling him her own Captain thorough their conversations. When the pamphlets began to fall from the sky, the gunner merely raised her eyebrows and waited for Oz to examine it. "I wonder what these numbers on the poster are leading people towards... The look like coordinates of sorts." the Captain pointed at the poster as he spoke, and the woman could only nod and agree with him. "That seems highly likely, I'm no navigator but they certainly look like coordinates to me." Sorcha's voice was even as she answered her new Captain, though her words were overshadowed by an enthusiastic gunshot from some idiots that had been sitting near them. "I knew it! I knew if I hung around this dirt hole the invitation to party with the big boys would arrive! Word on the seas is these posters have coordinates to an island known as Cactus Island in the Grandline... Reverse Stream isn't far from here either... I'll take out the top heads in Paradise and make a name for myself! Bravo... Tempest. My name is Dimitri Ironclad. They call be the skull headed rookie... and I'm pretty big here in the South-" like Oz, Sorcha tuned out the cocky man's words. This low-life meant nothing to the redhead and she would like nothing more than to feather him right between the eyes. "I wonder what kind of crews will be gathering on this island, looks like fun. Oi! Rocket! Hull! Tanis! How about we take off to Paradise and check this-" a grin had been making it's way to the redhead's face while she listened to Oz, but it quickly vanished when the shot rang out. It had come up in conversation that her new Captain had a Logia Devil Fruit power, but still, the fact that those low-lives had fired upon the man was unacceptable. Before the other pirate could holster his pistol, he was on his back with an arrow hovering between his eyebrows, an angry gunner on the other end. "You seem to know a bit about this Cactus Island fiasco... Care to elaborate?" even as he new Captain drew his sword, Sorcha kept her hand steady while the low-life began to sweat. "You're lucky you have information, now talk lest I lose my grip."It wasn't long after that Sorcha found herself racing about the crew's ship as they rode the currents. The weather didn't help their journey, but really the rain and wind just made things a little more exciting to the little woman. Sorcha still had a grin plastered on her face as she worked the sails, this was what she'd been missing since she lost her family. She loved the thrill of sailing through a storm, there was nothing else like it in the four blues, paradise, or new world. | wc:: 526 | notes:: Eeehee!
