The Heaven's Bounty received the flyers for Cactus Island. And what Captain would not go full steam towards something promising Large Prizes. It was also a way to recruit new Hunters for her Crew. Right now all she had was Yoi. With her eyes on the horizon, Kari Val steered ehr ship towards the dangerous Cactus Island port. There were going to be so many pirates and Bounty hunters. Even a revolutionary or two. Her eyes practically sparkled. Not only can she gather information on future marks, but she could recruit. With the premise on the horizon she was dressed to impress. Her long twin tails had a slight shine to them. She had a pair of light lavendar bands around the bases keeping them in place. She had a white tube top shirt covering her with a short sleeve white jacket that had lavendar sleeves and a hood draped in the back. Because of Yoi's Fishing habits, she had to forgo the skirts in her closet when they were going into port, so to complement the top, she had a pair of denim shorts, dyed with the left side lavendar and the right side bleached white. She broke out a pair of white sandles with a thick heel. The straps holding the base to her feet, wrapped around her ankles so they weren't flying anywhere. Her fashion was not without function. A Black belt keeping her shorts in place also had a dual end sheath where her two wakizashi sat in a perfect line, one handle to each side. Across both thighs she had a bag strapped where she held her kunai.
As she pulled the Fallen Cherub into posrt, She hailed a couple other bounty hunters on the dock and tossed them the rope to tie off, This rig required four to sail, minimum, but the two of them working, or sometimes her by herself had to get it done. So she would rope in dock workers when pulling into a port. With her ship tied off, she did a cartwheel down the steps to the main deck and kicked the gang plank down. It was time to make her entrance. She adjusted her twin tails into the hood of her jacket and pulled it up. The kunai inside her hair pulled them into the jester like extensions from the hood, all the way down to the white fluffy spheres at the end. With the hood up completely hiding her hair, she put on a black mask that went just around her eyes and took a step onto the gang plank. "Caaaaaactus Island! The Heaven's bounty is here! Kari N. Val Sanjou!"
As she walked down the gang plank, she gave a wink to the tow that tied up her ship to the dock and turned toward the island. |

i don't understand humans The moment his eyes fell on one of those Cactus Island flyers on Spider Miles, Tundra knew he had to make it there. It was a once in lifetime kind of chance for him to let every stupid pirate know that he wouldn’t rest until he had caught them all. He would finally be able to give all of those human criminals a reason to fear him. Although, getting there proved to be a bit of a challenge. He would swim as far as he could before he wore out, and then he would latch onto the underside of a passing ship or climb onto the shore of a nearby island for a quick rest. It took him a little longer to get there than if he had access to a ship, but he would have been really out luck if he had been human.
As the young doctor swam up to the docks, he could see that there were many ships clogging up the shore. Tundra silently went through his options for approaching the situation. He could stay hidden underwater and watch from the shore, but that would leave him at a great disadvantage when it came to understand what was going on and when best to act. Option two, he could try to blend in with the crowd. However, grey skin and a mouth full of razor sharp teeth made it rather difficult to blend. After all consideration he decided on option three, shock and awe. He needed to draw attention to himself to see what he could flush out into the open. Risky, but it was his most logical option.
So once Tundra reached the dock, he swam down to the ocean floor and shot up towards the surface as fast as he could. The Fishman burst out of the water high into the air and then came crashing down onto the docks. He landed on his bare feet with a loud boom that filled the area. His simple red linen shirt and black trousers were dripping wet, but he was used to wet clothes. Tundra Jack brushed his shaggy black hair out of his eyes with a webbed hand, and with a purposely toothy grin he loudly said, "Greetings!”

[attr="class","yes"]This was it. This was what he had been dreaming of for five long years. He sat in a chair in the bunk room, long legs forced to bend upwards as his feet were placed flat against the ground. His head was turned to the side, eyes wide as he stared through the porthole. The whites of his eyes were bloodshot and his cheeks moist, the anticipation of the road ahead robbing him of his sleep. Instead of sleeping he sat quietly in his chair, almost motionless aside from occasional twitch or quiet sob. Normally he would snap to attention when Kari woke up, using that as a signal that it was time to start the day. But as they drew nearer to there destination he decided it would be good to try and get just a bit of sleep before they reached land. Instead he found himself back in his chair, still unable to believe the fact that he was now closer than ever before.
He could feel the ship pull into port, the familiar maneuvering signaling him that it was time to get to work. Hands pressed against his eyes, attempting to rub away the redness and wipe away the tears. With a deep breath he rose to his feet, slowly gathering himself as he made his way to the deck of the ship. By the time he reached the outside he was far more composed, a weak smile on his face as he watched Kari excitedly kicked off the gangplank and walked down to the dock. She really was adorable when she got excited like this. He followed a ways behind her, his outfit far less interesting than his captain's. As usual he wore a white shirt, today with long sleeves, a pair of denim pants and simple sneakers. Four daggers hung from his belt, each set of daggers having drastically different handles and pommels. Simply holding the handle of one was enough for him to tell which knife was in hand, which was enough to prevent confusion.
He glanced towards the two men who tied the ship off, giving them a meek wave and nod of appreciation as he passed by. He would do the same for anyone he made eye contact with as they made their way towards the island. Kari's sudden shout caused Yoizuki to flinch, instinctively taking a step back. Was he supposed to have such an introduction? No. No surely not. She was the captain, he was simply a crewman. She was the one who deserved the attention. He was simply there to support her. Smile returned to his face as he once again regained his composure, clapping his hands in praise of her grand entrance.
The sound of another loud greeting caught his attention. While still clapping he turned his head to the side, catching sight of the fishman. Claps stopped abruptly, eyes wide with disbelief. That man's teeth, his hands...He was like some sort of fish. Was it a fish? He had to know more.

Zanji Hummed to himself as he stood behind the helm of his ship. He was relatively excited for he had made it into the precarious grand line all by himself. He felt proud of himself yet there was a feeling of loneliness at this accomplishment. He wanted to get some crew mates as soon as possible it was rather lonely aboard this large ship. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a map and checked on the horizon. He wasn't a top notch navigator but thanks to his log pose he had a good idea of where he was headed. the closest island that he was going to visit and possibly resupply at was named Cactus island. A rather unusual name for a piece of land perhaps tit had a desert climate to it. He hoped it wasn't in this case he enjoyed the warmth of the sun but desert heat was something all together a different subject. He looked up towards the sky as he heard a all to familiar sound of a sea gull cawing most likely calling out to his little friends.
This brought a small smirk to his face as he drew closer and closer to the island. A particular song kept coming to mind as he hummed a few bars. It was a old pirating song but it was still a good one in his opinion. He slowly began to furl in the sails as a dock came into view. He would let the oceans current drag him into port. He tied off the sails and stretched out his arms and grabbed the railing on the stairs and pulled himself down from the mast and returned to the helm. If there was truly one thing about being a rubber man he enjoyed it was being able to get at things that were far away. He chuckled as he continued to hum along the tune of Bink's sake as he saw already quite a few ships into the dock it was going to be a bit of a challenge to find a free spot but he would manage somehow. His jolly roger in the crows nest of the first mast waved lazily in the air proudly displaying its insignia as he carefully maneuvered his large ship into a free area.
He quickly dropped anchor and tied off the boat to the docks. He yawned loudly and set out the disembarking plank to the dock and slowly walked down it. Today he was wearing black vest with gold buttons along with a white dress shirt as well as a red string tie with a pair of black pants and black leather dress shoes, and long white trench coat. His hands were in his pockets as he saw a small crowd of people gathered around at one spot. This peaked his interest slightly as he would walk over to investigate what was going on. He continued to hum bink's sake as he walked wishing to finish the song he had started to hum before he pulled into cactus island. Today he would leave his instrument and his precious dial back in his quarters underneath a hidden loose floorboard beneath his bed. He gently glided about through the crowd his stomach letting out very loud grumbling noise. He wasn't much of a cook in fact he really couldn't cook at all so he had been relying on mostly canned goods and fruit on his voyage. He made polite eye contact as he looked at the fishman a look of interest in his eyes.

From her side, she heard a loud splash, thud, and shout as another had made a similar entrance. The features of him, teeth, fingers, the fact that he leapt from the water like a breaching Deep Blue Shark, there was no doubt in her mind that he was a fishman. She turned towards him and noticed Yoizuki finally making his way out to her. Just as she was about to greet them both, there came a yawn that snatched her attention away. A pirate...solo...If it was any other day, the hunt would be on. Sure there was a pirate right there. Easy pickings, but the dock was full of pirates, revolutionaries, and other bounty hunters. If they started a scuffle here, it could set off a chain reaction that would tear the entire island to pieces disturbing the lovely view. Right now she would just give a slow, light shake of the head to Yoi before walking over to the Fishman.
Her eyes started to take in the closer details. A Grin was coming up over her face as she walked behind him. She noticed just how soaked his clothing was. He definitly spent alot of time under water. No Weapons other than his natural ones. He chose to swim here instead of riding a boat, meant that currently he was unencumbered by a crew, or rather to her, no one would miss him if he vanished aboard her vesel as a new member. She stood straight next to him looing out to the dock facing in the same direction as him before moving a hand up and moving it quickly to hard pat him on the back. "Welcome to Cactus Island. Pirate or Hunter?" |

i don't understand humans The plan was solid and seemed to be working well, but that didn’t mean that Tundra Jack had to like it. Humans had started to form a small crowd around him as soon as he had landed on the docks. The fishman didn’t care for crowds or human, but it was all for the sake of the job. All of the humans milled around him with the usual mix of curious and worried whispers. His eyes shot through the crowd counting weapons and marking his escape routes, in cause things went pear shaped. Farther from the crowd Tundra spotted a woman. For a moment, he had thought that she was an anglerfish fishman. However, it turned out to be a hat of some sort. He would never understand humans and their obsession with clothing. There was a man near her that also drew the Fishman’s attention, but rather than his clothing that was odd it was the way he was looking at Tundra. The man seemed to be very interested in him. It made the doctor a bit uncomfortable for some reason.
Tundra’s focus was broken by a familiar tune. His friend Blitz had often played that song when they were growing up, and he had played it on the day he had died. The young doctor shook his head slightly for a moment, as if he was trying to dislodge the memory. He quickly searched the crowd for the source of the melody. It seemed to becoming from a fancifully dressed human standing near the fishman. The man was looking at him, and for some reason Tundra felt anger rise in him. “Human, stop that incessant noise.” Even though he was a bit angry, he spoke in his usual cold and calm matter. He didn’t wait for an answer before turned from the man in the vest.
The young doctor’s eyes once again caught onto the human with the ridiculous hat. She walked calmly up to him, seamlessly making her way through the small crowds. He watched with mild interest as she came to stand next to him, but his body stiff as her hand made contact with his back.
"Welcome to Cactus Island. Pirate or Hunter?"
His prisoner instincts took over and he quickly grabbed the woman's hand around the wrist and squeezed. He moved his body so he was standing in front of the woman. Optimal position if the situation turned violent.
“Don’t touch me human.”

[attr="class","yes"]Eyes drifted from the odd man of fish to the large new ship arriving at the port. Eyes inevitably made their way up the to the flag that blew in the wind over the crow's nest. His stomach twisted at the sight of the symbol, fists clenching at the sight of a jolly roger. A pirate. What was a pirate doing here? Was this why they came? Was this some big name pirate that they needed an army of bounty hunters to pursue? Oh dear this could be bad. He could only hope that Kari knew what they were up against. When he went to look to her for comfort, he found nothing but air where his captain once stood. In a panic he quickly scanned the busy dock, quickly spotting her unique hood in the crowd. Headed straight for that strange creature. Oh dear.
He moved as quickly as his lanky legs could carry him, racing to his captain's side. Tundra's words struck him as odd. Human. So he really wasn't human. The seven foot tall man leaned forward without a word, eyes wide and brows furrowed as he examined this odd creature. "You...You're a fish. But you speak. You speak very well. You were swimming. You smell fantastic. Like the very depths of the ocean floor...Seaweed, salt water." His head tilted as he spoke, completely puzzled by the existence of such a creature. He moved to touch him, stopping mid motion as he recalled his actions toward Kari. Normally he would be offended that someone would speak in such a way to his captain. But he was too entranced by this magnificent being to give it any thought. "C-can I touch you? I'm sorry I'm just...You're amazing! You're both man and fish? Fish and man? Are you at all human? Are you..." He lowered his voice, quickly glancing around the dock to make sure none of the onlookers would be within earshot. He lowered his voice, curious eyes locked back onto Tundra. "Are you the god of the sea?"

Post by Kaneki Toppū on Jan 27, 2016 10:49:20 GMT 7
“Kaneki, you are hereby ordered to report to Cactus island. There has been a disturbance amongst the Marines at their base island Marineford.” One of his superiors form Mariejois explained to the young Kaneki who worked exclusively for the glorious capital. “What do you mean they vanished? That doesn’t even seem possible or probable.” Kaneki said crossing his arms and look of disbelief on his face as he tried to wrap his mind around the current situation. “That is why you are going to Cactus Island. Here take this flyer and read it." His superior said as he handed him the flyer. Kaneki took the sheet of paper and started to read over its contents. It was an invitation for Pirates, Revolutionaries, and Bounty Hunters to form bonds and compete in competitions against one another. “Cactus Island? Isn’t that in Paradise? At my current rank I cannot step a foot in the Grand Line, I am not one to break the rules either so it seems that I must return to my other duties.” Kaneki said as he extended his right arm lightly gripping the invitation. “You have been granted a pass that will allow you to ride with some of our CP agents to the island. And you know as well as I do, your brother will most likely be there and I know you two have some...catching up to do.” The superior officer said to his dreaded bounty hunter. “So...what do you…” Before the man could finish Kanekis arm turned into electricity and the flyer burst into flames.
“When do we leave, I will make sure that Mariejois justice falls upon that island with the fury of one billion Sea Kings.” Kaneki said in a calm, chilling voice, his eyes have a burning flame inside of them just from knowing Yaboku would be on the island.
“Land Ho!” A voice cracked through the salt filled air. Kaneki’s eyes cracked open as the sunlight poured in causing his to squint but get a glimpse at the island he was invited to. His mind was focused as the whole time on the trip he played back the conversation he had with his superior officer. The young dreaded bounty hunter was accompanied by a group of CP agents that were also on the mission with him, they were the reason he was even allowed to be in the waters they were currently in. “So we have arrived, well time to prepare.” Kaneki thought to himself standing up from his spot on the deck he was sitting for the voyage. He made his way to the lower deck to switch from his regular clothes, to his new outfit he had made for him before leaving. Feeling the boat making it to port he would come up from the lower deck dressed in a ivory and crimson kimono. It was secured at his waist with an ebony sash that was tied in a knot slightly more to the right of his torso, with two longer pieces that were knotted in the back. He wore snow white silk socks, that were resting in all black tabi. On his face he wore a ceremonial black kitsune mask with a matching scarf that concealed the majority of his dreads. On his back he had fastened a worn traditional shamisen, which he was quite skilled at playing.
“So the plan is simple, you all try to find out what has happened to the Marines, I will try to locate my brother and any other leads that might make this task easier. For Mariejois!” Kaneki said reviewing the plan with his allies who had accompanied him. “For Mariejois!” The CP agents said leaving the vessel first, while Kaneki waited a few seconds and then made his way onto the crowded dock.
He could not believe his eyes as he scanned over the crowded dock of misfits of the Blues bantered about foolish nonsense. Each one of the pirates that were their was an insult to the World Government and the world itself. Kaneki knew that his foolish brother would be somewhere amongst the fools who were there because not only could he feel his presence, he knew if it had to do with Marines vanishing he probably had a hand in it. The masked bounty hunter’s attention was overtaken as he saw a fishman grabbed a woman who wore a peculiar hooded jacket. Kaneki’s mind raced back to when he fought the Nemean Lion and remembered what they had done to Keiko which caused a righteous anger to build up inside of him. His first course of action was to strike the fishman down but, that would only complicate the situation and ruin the chance of him finding out what was really going on.
“You must remain calm, if you react you lose. I will just get in closer to see how this plays out. If it get’s to out of hand I must take him out, because it is the just thing to do.” Kaneki talked to himself in his head calming his heart rate and taking a deep breath which escaped through the sides of his kitsune mask. He continued to watch as another male made his way to the woman's side examining the fishman and even speaking to him but do to the distance Kaneki could not hear so he would move in closer. Taking his shamisen from his back, Kaneki, used the wooden pick to strum a mellow tune on the worn instrument.

He smirked at the spectacle between the fishman and the other human beings. It seemed this Fishman hated humans a lot such a shame. Perhaps one day he could change his mind but for now he really was in somewhat of a hurry. He wanted to gather up a team for himself. He was tired of being alone on the seas and plus more numbers would equal more fun and he would be closer to making his dream assault upon mariejois. Oh how it would be splendid as he hung the severed head of the celestial dragons upon stakes as the castle burned. Although it would be properly looted first. He let out a small chuckle as he began to turn away and would head toward town. This area was boring no one was interacting with him and he wasn't going to waist any of his precious time on the docks. He took a few steps moving between the crowd and narrowed his eye brows as he saw another ship coming in. He gave a half smile as it came closer and closer into port. Clearly this was its destination Well this was getting a bit crowded. He watched from the crowd as a somewhat large group of men disembarked from the ship. he watched the men walk off and head into the town, He was unsure if they were bounty hunter or marines or pirates or they could be revolutionaries. he would need to make a mental note to keep an eye out from them while the festivities were going. He then hear the all to familiar sound of a of a musical instrument being plunked at its strings/ He narrowed his eyes as he saw a man wearing a black kitsune mask with a scarf over his head most unusual most unusual indeed. However he recognized the tune that was being played. He could never forget the song that was played at marines often sang it in his hometown in the taverns. It was a all to familiar tune and he began to hum to himself then he began to sing along to it reciting the lyrics out his voice in harmony with the masked figures playing. "The sea watches us quietly, guiding us through our death and our birth.
From humble hometown waters, to the waves at the end of the earth.
The sea carries us carefully, through the dark of night and light of day, to the world that's just and peaceful, so that we never lose our way.
All our pain and suffering, it swallows up in its warm embrace, so knowingly and gently, washes them all away.
The sea watches us quietly, guiding us through our death and our birth.
From humble hometown waters, to the waves at the end of the earth.
All our pain and suffering, it swallows up in its warm embrace, so knowingly and gently, washes them all away.
There will come a day, I'm sure, when I must heed its solemn call, and walk side by side with my old friends, resting in its foamy waters." He really couldn't help but sing along his voice growing steady and calm and full of serenity as he sang. If there was one weakness he had it was for music he smirked and blushed a little as he came back to his senses after the music stopped playing. He muttered an apology towards the masked musician and slowly began to back away heading back into the town. He did not wish to cramp the musicians style perhaps he was just a solo act or was just trying to earn some money. He slowly turned about his back facing the crowd as he would slowly walk towards the town his white coat flapping slightly from the movements. Zanji singing in this tone

The reaction was somewhat surprising. Her wrist gripped and squeezed hard, he was then facing her side as her free hand went up to her shoulder holding it to keep the pressure constant. Next Yoizuki made his way up. He was as awkward as ever and really didn't help the situation either. His smelling thing and the want to touch the fishman was obviously going to make things worse. To top it off, another ship in port started to unload a large group of men and the obvious commander. If this was a manga, he was easily be spotted as a central character by the way he was detailed compared to the others. The pirate from before came closer and the two men started singing. Not helping her either.
The Bounty Hunter looked towards the fishman and a smile formed on her face. A type of smile that one would normally associate with a demon, piranah fishman, or a trapper who had caught their prey. Swiftly swinging her head under her held arm, she moved and turned so her bicep was across her chest. Then with a deft leap back to land on the ground with her back and a twist to her side, pulling the arm he was already holding with her momentum, she went for an armdrag judo toss that would send the fishman back into the water and release his grip on her. Once free from him, she would roll back onto her shoulders and kick up with her legs, landing on her feet and in a combat squat. The little puff balls finally jingling as she assumed this pose. "That type of attitude won't let you survive for long on this island. People all over will be bumping into you. That is, unless you have a crew with you." |

i don't understand humans The tall human who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere was very odd, even by human standards. Tundra tried to keep his attention on the woman with the ridiculous headwear, but there was something very unsettling about the way the man looked at the young doctor. It was not something he had experienced with his prior dealings with humans. He had smelled Tundra.
"Are you the god of the sea?"
Tundra Jack was at a complete loss for words.Despite his best efforts, he turned his attention away from the odd female. He moved his head to look at the man who was now staring at him with what could only be described as wonder in his eyes.
“I am a doctor from Fishman Island.” Tundra found himself unusually flustered. “ Why do you both insist on rubbing your freakish little digits all over me. Just leave me …” By the time the doctor had realized what was happening the human female already had the advantage. She easily flipped him off of the docks and back into the welcoming ocean. Tundra dove into his fall, barely making a splash as he breached the water’s surface. He couldn’t help but smile as he felt the water on his skin.
"That type of attitude won't let you survive for long on this island. People all over will be bumping into you. That is, unless you have a crew with you."
As Tundra treaded water under the surface of the ocean, he thought about his current situation. He had hated his plan immensely, but it seemed to have worked. He had certainly drawn the attention of some interesting humans. Now came the second part of his reviled plan.
The fishman burst out of the water and on to the dock much like he had before, but this time he landed softly on the tips of his toes. He immediately stuck his arms up in the air over his head in a clear sign of nonaggression. Tundra made sure his heels were at the edge of the dock, in case he needed to make a tactical retreat. As he looked at the odd pair of humans, he couldn’t help but see the feral grin the woman wore on her face. She was turning out to be much more interesting than most humans. It made him feel slightly better about what he was about to do.
“My name is Tundra Jack. I am a bounty hunter here on Cactus Island to collect as many bounties as I can, and if possible find any information about the notorious Bug-Eyed Pirates.” The fishman spoke in a low voice in an attempt to keep the information he was sharing prying ears. “ May I suggest a truce and perhaps an alliance.”
